About Metavasi
A small building company, run close.
Metavasi Group is a registered building contractor based in Mount Lawley, Western Australia. We develop small to medium residential projects, build new homes for private clients, and import the materials that go into them — with a deliberately small team and no layers in between.
The name
Why "Metavasi"?
Metavasi — μετάβαση — is the Greek word for transition: the passage from one state to another. Building is exactly that. A project takes a home, a block or a plan and moves it somewhere better, through months of work that have to be managed with care.
The name is a standard we hold ourselves to. The disruption is temporary and controlled; the result is permanent and worth it.

How we operate
Deliberately small.
Metavasi is a tight operation, and we intend to keep it that way. Sam Ruocco runs the projects directly — pricing, program, budget and every client conversation. There's no account manager between you and the person making the decisions, and no job on our books that we aren't personally across.
Development is the core
Most of what we build, we've taken on ourselves — usually three to four homes on a single lot. We carry the risk of our own standards.
We build for people who know us
Client work arrives through referral or repeat business. We'd rather earn the next job than advertise for it.
We keep the scope honest
New builds and developments, at a volume we can properly supervise. If a job isn't right for us, we'll say so rather than take it.

Principle 01
Straight answers
On cost, on timing, on what's achievable — you'll hear the real position, early. Surprises on a build are almost always the result of things left unsaid.
Principle 02
A managed site
Clean, sequenced and supervised. The state of a site tells you the state of a build, and ours are run like the finished product depends on them — because it does.
Principle 03
Finished means finished
Defects closed out, compliance documented, and a handover that doesn't leave a list of loose ends behind it.
